happy | Top of the morning to ya!💚🍀 Happy St. Patricks Day everyone💚 There is truly nothing like St. Patty’s Day because it marks the start of Spring for most of… | By BB Acres | It’s that time of year again happy Saint Patty’s Day so today of course I’m making cornedbeef and cabbage with potatoes okay so first things first I got my cornedbeef at Costco this is excellent good price I buy it there every year great quality on the meat it comes with the seasoning packet it’s very easy very simple so what I do first is I gotta get this cornedbeef cooking because it takes time we’re going to cook this pretty much probably like five, 6 hours. So, let’s get started and then later on, I’m going to show you how I add my cabbage and potatoes. So, we’re going to go to the stove. I’m Italian. Of course, I cover my stove with aluminum foil. Listen, even though I cover it, I still have to clean it later on but it makes the cleanup a lot easier. So, I want easy. Okay, first things first. So, we’re going to fill our pot. I put a little bit on the bottom first. Now, let me tell you what. Now, I have to carry this heavy pot because I got my pot fill up. I’m going to fill it a little bit. I’m going to put my corned beef right in there. Okay, don’t worry. I’m going to wash my hands. I know it’s raw. Okay, but I could still have dirty hands for this. Look at that. Easy peasy and guess what? No salt and pepper to taste because that does it all and my can of beer. You I usually use Guinness but I didn’t have any. So, excuse me. Tonight, it’s cause light. Okay? I’m going to put my whole entire can of beer in there. Sorry, we got a tickle. And then I’m going to add more water. We want to cover the whole cornedbeef, okay? So, just enough to cover the whole thing. Exactly and I always leave the fat on. It gives it flavor. You can trim the fat off after it’s cooked, okay? So now, I’m going to put this on. First, I like to bring it a little bit to a boil and then, I’ll simmer it all day. So, first, we’re going to let this cook a little bit and I’m going to lower it. We’ll be back. So, today, I’m using my Cutco vegetable knife look at the red handle I had to have it I had to so I’m making cornedbeef and cabbage and it just reminds me of spring spring is here the weather is changing so what would be a better dish to make because once it’s Saint Patty’s Day you feel the weather coming today is 60 degrees out it’s a beautiful day spring is here so what I’m doing is I’m cutting my cabbage in four this is what I do and then I’m going to walk it after I cut it in four and I like to leave it soaking in the water a little bit so it gets everything okay so I only prepare my cabbage before because my onions 123 I only going to cut those in half because I’m just throwing them in I don’t want to peel my potatoes yet because they’re not going in anywhere near soon okay so it came to the a boil so I put it on simmer now now I’m going to cover it but I like to leave the cover just a little open and look at my new spoon holder my friend Daniella bought for me life is too short lick the spoon I couldn’t agree more We’ll be back. Alright, baby doll. Okay. So, I jumped ahead. Sorry. Sorry. I cut my onions in four. So, now, we have still an hourless for cooking time and remember, I always did this separate but a lot of people recommended it in the water and why didn’t I ever think of that? That’s alright. You learn every day. Good idea, right? So, now, being that it’s an hour away, I’m going to put in my potatoes and my onions but not my cabbage yet. Alright. Back by the stove. Alright, baby doll. At that beautiful cornedbeef. Oh yeah. Okay. So now we’re going to put our onions in. Our chipotle. I add onions. I know a lot of people just add the potatoes and the cabbage and a lot. So a lot of people had carrots too but I don’t. Okay. So I’m putting my potatoes. Ala Madalina. Ala Madalina. Okay. And guess what? The cabbage is going to cook fast. So if we can’t fit the I mean if we can’t fit it in with this we’re going to take the potatoes out. It’s all good. We’ll see you in a little bit guys. We’ll be back. Bye baby doll. That meat looks like it’s getting really tender. It sure is honey. Alright so it’s got what about a half hour left? At most. So we’re going to put our cabbage in and then we’re going to wait a half hour and then Simanja Irish style. And let me say something. Whoever’s suggested to do this what was I thinking? Great idea. Thank you guys. Bye babydoll. Mamma Mia. What a beautiful corned beef, right? Right. Today everybody’s Irish. Yep. Look at my potatoes. And let me tell you something. You know who told me this to my good friend Maria Peachy. She told me don’t cook the potatoes and cabbage separate. And boy were you right honey. I love you Maria. Okay. So now I’m going to look at the potatoes boiled to perfection. Wait wait wait let me find one. I gotta go digging. I gotta go digging. I gotta go digging. There we look at that a beautiful. Oh yeah. A beautiful. Well set this all up and we’ll be back. And we’re going to be carving and then eating. Yep. Okay honey. Here we go. He’s the carver. We’re carving away. Cut like this. Cut the the the the oh no. It’s hot to the side. This thing shrunk a lot huh? Maybe yes it does shrink. How’s that? Oh. That’s a beautiful. Oh yeah. Look at that. That’s mean it’s falling apart like butter. Leave leave a little fat on my piece. Beautiful. Look at. Look at that. Look at the juices coming right out. Let’s see. I get the first taste. You got it. Oh delicious. I’m going to keep Calvin and we’ll see you at the table. Alright baby doll. I’m Irish today but I’m putting a little Italian in it. Just a little drizzle. A little little drizzle. That’s it. No more. Gotcha. We’ll see you at the table guys. Okay, he’s going to taste. I like the mustard. That’s alright, right? Yeah. Just a little bit on here. Um but I don’t know why. This is my favorite part. The potato. And the cabbage. Piscotti wants to eat. No Kobe fam cabbage. Today you’re still Americani. You still eat your chicken. Oh man. Cabbage is delicious. Let me tell you. Good idea. That was a great job you you did putting this inside there. All the flavors are all married to the other. Delicious. We love you. Happy Saint Patty’s Day guys. Happy Saint Patty’s day.
