1.7M views · 3.8K reactions | The grocery store deli aisle has NOTHING on this hack. Ever read the ingredients on your deli meat package? Or realize you’re spending sometimes up to $21 a pound for water logged, caramel color added, tastes like paper, who knows if it’s real turkey? For a family that eats as much meat as ours, a meat slicer is a game changer. But don’t think you’ll use it? Listen up: We sliced bulk, locally bought cheese and stored 15 lbs of cheese for the price of 1/2 lb pre-sliced at the store. Buy whole turkey breasts for $4 lb at Costco and the ingredients are turkey, water and salt and store 5 lbs for the price of one small package at the deli counter. Slice steaks off the rack to the thickness and uniformity you prefer. Eat ribeyes until the cows… don’t come home? Use it to slice eggplants, potatoes, cucumbers, carrots, beets and anything else you can dream up into PERFECT slices, never worrying about slicing your hand open on a mandolin. And if I haven’t convinced you already, you can get a really good one for under $60 and you’ll never go back. Shop all my faves by commenting SHOP on any post or reel and I’ll DM you all my favorites we use in a daily basis. Like our exact meat slicer, glass storage containers and wood butcher block.
